Rainy days call for easy and fun crafts

We’ve all been stuck inside for a few days with this rain. While its easy to just turn on Disney Junior, engaging your children is so important. We did some easy seasonal crafts this week. I even made a trip to A.C. Moore to get the $1 foam craft kits that my son LOVES. All of the crafts below can be found on my Pinterest Halloween page. An added bonus: these are pretty mess free!!

Masking tape mummy—- Draw a mummy on black construction paper for your child (or they can do this) have them tear off pieces of masking tape and criss-cross them over the paper. Cut the outline of the mummy and add googly eyes or pompom eyes.

Q-tip Skeleton—- You can extend the craft by reading a Halloween book (Skeleton Hiccups and Skeleton Shake are a few of our favs) and your child can write about their skeleton or tell how they’d get rid of skeleton hiccups.

Cotton ball ghosts—- Kids can get creative and draw out the shape they want their ghost to be and choose different colored pompom eyes. They can even spread the glue all around which my son had fun doing.

The Very Hungry Ghost—- A holiday version of a childhood favorite. Your little ones will have a blast illustrating what the ghost ate and then will be so proud of the book they made. Read the Very Hungry Caterpillar for an extension.
