Celebration of Textiles: Comfort at Home

On September 14, celebrate design, textiles, and the cozy comforts of home at a free festival for all ages at the 40th Anniversary Celebration of Textiles. Build a fabric fort, watch demos by local artists, enjoy live dance, and explore spectacular fabrics from the ancient Mediterranean in the exhibition Woven Interiors: Furnishing Early Medieval Egypt. Celebration of Textiles is free and will take place at the George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum (Foggy Bottom-GWU Metro). #CelebrateTextiles

Sheep by Leesburg Animal Farm

Fort Building Competition for GW students: 1–3 PM
Bring sheets, blankets, and decor to University Yard to show off your interior design skills. The competition starts at 1 PM.
