2019 Guide to spring break camps in Washington, DC, Maryland & Virginia

If you aren’t hopping on a plane this spring break to relax by the waves or shred on a mountain, get those little ones in a fun and engaging camp. Maryland:

Brit-Am Soccer April 17-19, 2019

Our Spring Break camp is great for every soccer player, experienced or beginner. Each day starts with a full camp activity which consists of energetic games to get them excited and ready for play. The players are then divided into their groups, where they will work on their individual skills and play lots of fun small sided games. Each morning of the Spring Break camp will finish off with the World Cup Competition which is a small tournament with prizes for the winners. During the week we also hold mini competitions to find the “Best Dressed Soccer Uniform” and “Crazy Soccer Hat”.

My Gym– April 17-19 & 22, 2019

When School is Off – My Gym Camp is on! Drop your kids off for three hours of cool and nonstop fun at My Gym including themed games, crafts, gymnastics, sports and snack! From 1-4pm Potty Independent please. Ages 2yrs 10mos to 10yrs. 

KOA Multisport Camp– April 17-19, 2019

Spring Break means school’s out, so let’s play! Join Koa Sports for our Multisport Spring Break Camp at Koa HQ. It is the same great set-up as our Multisport Summer Camp, just in the Spring! This camp is for kids looking to be active and have fun while school is out. We’ll play kickball, basketball, soccer, flag football, dodgeball, and so much more! This program does have limited registration, so sign up now to reserve your spot!

Our spring break multisports and enrichment camp is designed by sports champions to help young athletes realize their optimal performance in their favorite sports. MSA offers a spectacular multi-sport & enrichment camp providing a well-rounded experience combining learning and fun, to build fond memories that will last a lifetime. The sports offered are:Baseball, Basketball,Dance and fitness, Flag Football, Golf, Kickball, Soccer, Street Hockey, and Tennis. The enrichment offered is:  Rocketry*, Creative Art (Painting, Drawing, Beading), and Chess. Send your kids to come play with Adventure Theatre MTC where they will have a full day of theatrical activities, afternoon snack.  You can choose one day or the full week.  Camp is for Grades K-5.

We offer a one of a kind camp experience. Daily activities include: high tea with healthy snacks, crafts and games, exercise at the local park, dance and dress up. We always afford time for good-old fashioned play, too. Mount Vernon Community Children’s Theatre: Harrt Potter and the Spring Break Adventure- April 15-19, 2019

You have been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!  In this week of Harry Potter themed fun you will be sorted, chosen by a wand, and create a Harry Potter skit which we’ll perform for a Muggle audience on the last day of camp.  Learn how to communicate with others, work as a team, develop story-telling skills, and expand your actor’s toolbox in this fun filled spring break experience.

SkateQuest– April 15-19, 2019

For the child who can’t get enough of the ice. Camp includes ice skating lessons, ice painting, broom ball and an end of camp show. Ages 4.5-12. Friday is a half-day for all, before/after care available Mon-Thur.

Your child will have fun learning and playing sports. Some are soccer, kickball, flag football and basketball. They offer full or half day & full or half day options for children ages 6-14.

D.C. United’s Spring Break Camps are half-day and full-day programs which provide participants aged 5 – 16 an opportunity to experience an exciting soccer environment consisting of modern camp exercises, highlighting individual technique, coupled with team and game tactics. Campers will be exposed to a different set of technical and tactical focuses each day of camp. Coaches will work with players to develop their technical ability as well as discover a better understanding of the game in a fun and energetic environment. Full day & half day available; Friday is a half-day for all.

Spring Safari Day Camp at The National Zoo April 15-19, 2019

Spring is in the air, but flowers aren’t the only things blooming. So are new programs at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo!  This spring break, sign your child up for FONZ’s Spring Safari Day Camp! Each of the Spring Safari programs explores the lives, habitats and conservation of animals around the world. Week-long sessions include exciting hands-on activities, lessons, craft projects, science experiments and walks through the Zoo. There’s no better way to spend your spring break than with Friends of the National Zoo! Please note: There is no direct contact with animals, and campers do not participate in animal care.

Anna Banana Art– April 15-19, 2019

The kids arrive at 9:30 and draw or color with markers until everyone is settled. We then start an artist-inspried art project  such as Monet or van Gogh. A break for snack, and weather permitting, we take it outside for some fresh air, blowing giant bubbles, running around and games at the Jelleff field across the street.  Back to the studio to complete projects or free choice with clay, drawing with pens, pencils or markers. Wash up and lunch time. The time goes fast which means it’s fun!  I always have a helper to assist. 4 -8 year olds 9:30am-12:30pm.  Bring a snack, drink and lunch.  Friday is  pizza day provided by Anna Banana.

The Children’s Art Studio April 15-19, 2019

The day will begin with a warm up exercise.  We will do a morning project, break for lunch and play, then do an afternoon project.  Class size is small, with two teachers so everybody receives thoughtful attention and care.  Over the course of the week will will work on drawing, painting, sculpture, collage and printing.  We will spend quiet time reading and having group discussions. Your child will have a blast and bring home beautiful art work.

The Theatre Lab April 15-19, 2019

School’s Out camps, modeled on The Theatre Lab’s award-winning Summer Acting Camps for Kids, are perfect for children grades 1-6, who enjoy being creative and making new friends, and are designed to be fun for novices as well as kids who have already been bitten by the drama bug. Drama activities are scheduled from 9:00am-3:00pm, and kids can come for just one day or the whole week.

Home Run Baseball Camp– April 15-19, 2019
(Friendship Park Recreation Center)
Coach McCarthy and an experienced co-ed staff will lead a high energy camp with the same format as the summer camp at AU Park in NW, Washington, DC. Full ground ball and fly ball square drill, over one hundred swings in batting practice, and two full games per day. Groups will be broken up by age and teams will be fair and games will be competitive. We have access to the building in case of inclement weather.  Full day & half day available, no aftercare.
